Trad Sessions take place at The Harp on the first Friday of every month, have been for many years. Numbers vary between 4 and 10. Lisa Fennin is the owner of the bar. Lisa is the third generation of female owners. Those who take part are from within a 20 mile radius of the village. they play a range of instruments, tin whistles, accordions, guitar, banjo, flute, and not confined to traditional Irish instruments.
The bar itself featured in the Irish made documentary – “the Irish Pub”, which was a huge hit across the country and was even aired on TV. People come from far off places to visit the bar and The Harp is sometimes visited by actor, Gabriel Byrne who spent his summers nearby as a child.
