Dan Colley : Conor: At the end of the Universe

Conor is a boy on a mission. To get as far away from home as he possibly can. Part puppet show, part installation piece, part animated film, part immersive experience and part ballet, this sensory and aesthetic introduction to astrophysics for 4- 6 year olds takes its inspiration from Stephen Hawking’s A Brief History of Time and Timothy Ferris’ Coming of Age in the Milky Way. We’re collaborating with animator Jody Barker-Rockett and AV specialist Mick Cullinan, using our unique puppetry aesthetic, to transport the audience across vast stretches of space and time, on Conor’s journey. This piece aims, through live performance, music and design, to open up the imagination to the great big universe… …and to experience our place within it. 46 Billion Light Years From Home is being developed throughout 2016 in Collapsing Horse’s residency in Draíocht Arts Centre and will premiere in October 2016
Concept art by Jody Barker-Rockett.

Tours from October to November 2016
